Title: Mentoring Workshop
Presenter: Grant Pepper, Vice-President Education, Papakura Toastmasters
Purpose: Every confident speaker in Toastmasters got there with someone's help. This workshop looks at mentoring the way Toastmasters built it to work — what makes a mentor effective, the steps that turn a new member into an engaged one, and the return mentors and clubs get from investing in the relationship.
It also looks at where mentoring is headed. Grant Pepper will introduce Mentor Me, a live pilot connecting mentors and mentees across club boundaries — so no member's growth is limited by who happens to be in their own club.
Whether you're a VPE building a mentor programme, a member wondering whether to become a mentor, or just curious what's next for mentoring in District 72, this session is for you.
When: Thursday 22 October 7-8 pm
